Gudnak Shatters Previous Funding Record by 50%

Just when you thought the records couldn’t get any more shattered, Gudnak has gone ahead and shattered them again — this time by a full 50% over the previous benchmark.

"At this point, we’re just breaking our own records," said Ian Oliver, co-designer. "It's like competing against yourself in a race. You always win, but you also always lose. It's very philosophical."

The team attributes this success to the game's unique approach to the collectible card game model: no rare cards, no filler, and every product gives you the complete set. Revolutionary? Maybe. Obvious? Definitely. But sometimes the obvious thing is the hardest thing to do, because everyone is too busy doing the complicated thing.
